SDB is seeking a skilled Assistant Controller with strong technical knowledge and leadership capabilities. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective internal controls, and ongoing process improvements across the accounting function. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working with both finance and non-finance teams.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee general ledger operations and ensure accuracy of all accounting entries.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Interpret and analyze financial results to support management decision-making.
• Prepare, review, and maintain financial forecasts.
• Perform cost analysis and variance analysis.
• Monitor, maintain, and improve internal control processes.
• Support internal and external audits, including compliance reporting.
• Maintain documented accounting policies and procedures; implement controls to minimize risk.
• Utilize ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) to manage financial data.
• Use advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, modeling) to support reporting and analysis.
• Leverage financial reporting tools and automation platforms to streamline workflows.
• Communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred)

• CPA — highly preferred

• Strong understanding of GAAP (or IFRS, depending on region).
• Advanced knowledge of general ledger operations.
• Proficiency in month-end and year-end close processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prepare and review financial statements.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

• 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
