As a CMM Quality Inspector, you will provide Quality Control inspection support for the Honeywell Engineering Laboratory Quality Team. In this role, you will partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality leaders to ensure products meet all dimensional, regulatory, qualification, certification, and development requirements.

You will play a critical role in driving product quality and compliance by performing detailed dimensional inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and other precision measurement equipment. Your work will directly support qualification, certification, development builds, and production readiness activities, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and aerospace regulatory standards.

You will report directly to the Lab Operations Manager and work on-site at our Phoenix, Arizona location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform precision dimensional inspections of components and assemblies using CMM equipment and manual inspection tools (surface plates, height gauges, micrometers, etc.)
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, models, and specifications to validate conformance to design requirements
  • Program and operate CMM equipment to execute inspection plans
  • Analyze inspection results and document findings in detailed reports
  • Identify nonconformances and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to support root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Support qualification, certification, and development build activities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection processes, quality performance, and on-time delivery
Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 or more years of experience in quality inspection, CMM inspection, or a related manufacturing quality role.
  • Hands‑on experience operating and programming CMM equipment or equivalent.
  • Proficiency interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
