Position Overview
We're seeking an experienced Lithography Engineer to join Intel's Manufacturing Development and Customer Engineering (MDCE) team. You'll focus on advancing our semiconductor fabrication processes across multiple technology nodes including 18A, Intel 3, and 12nm platforms. This role involves partnering with high-volume manufacturing facilities to solve complex technical challenges and implement solutions that drive yield improvements, enhance performance, and optimize costs.
Team MissionThe MDCE organization serves as the critical link between product development and manufacturing excellence. We enhance process capabilities from initial qualification through high-volume production, ensuring Intel maintains its technological leadership in semiconductor manufacturing.
What You'll Do Process Innovation & Optimization- Partner with manufacturing teams to identify process improvement opportunities
- Design and implement lithography process enhancements that increase yield and reduce variability
- Lead cross-functional projects focused on performance optimization and cost reduction
- Work closely with Technology Development teams and equipment vendors to evaluate new materials and processes
- Drive hardware roadmap initiatives and resolve process compatibility challenges
- Optimize equipment parameters and control strategies for manufacturing environments
- Deploy advanced metrology solutions across multiple fabrication facilities
- Collaborate with process integration teams to develop comprehensive patterning strategies
- Provide technical expertise for customer-facing manufacturing challenges
- Manage complex technical initiatives from concept through implementation
- Serve as the lithography subject matter expert for cross-functional teams
- Drive technology transfer activities between development and manufacturing organizations
The minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Minimum qualifications listed below would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experience and / or schoolwork/classes/research. The preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Requirements- Masters in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or STEM related field of study and 7+ years industry experience
- 4+ Years of experience in advanced semiconductor lithography processes
- 2+ Years of experience in semiconductor device physics and materials science
- 2+ Years of experience optimizing lithography equipment in production environments
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE)
- Experience in integrated process development and technology transfer
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related field
- High-volume manufacturing operations experience
- Track record of successful vendor partnerships and technology evaluations experience
- Experience with lithography metrology tools and statistical analysis
- Experience with process control systems and automation platforms
- Experience in integrated process development and technology transfer
- Previous Foundry experience
