Our client, a leading organization in the aerospace industry, is seeking a Lead Aerospace Systems Engineer to join their team. As a Lead Aerospace Systems Engineer, you will be part of the Engines & Power Systems department supporting innovative control system development. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Lead Aerospace Systems Engineer
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay Range: $82.13/hr plus OT, benefits
What's the Job?- Design, develop, and verify control systems for Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) in the Engines & Power Systems business unit.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop control system components and electronic controllers for new APU programs.
- Execute and document trade studies, ensuring optimal system performance and compliance.
- Develop and implement control algorithms and software tailored for aerospace applications.
- Perform system integration, troubleshooting, and validation to meet industry standards and customer needs.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering from an accredited institution.
- 8+ years of systems engineering experience supporting safety-critical aerospace development.
- Strong knowledge of control systems engineering principles and experience with control system design, implementation, and testing.
- Experience with gas turbine engine control system components such as electronic controllers, fuel control, lubrication modules, wire harnesses, start motors, and various sensors.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
