Senior Electrical Engineer

A nationally-ranked MEP Engineering firm is currently hiring for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing engineering team in the Phoenix, AZ metro area
. This role will lead the design, development, and implementation of complex electrical systems across Advanced Manufacturing, Food & Beverage, Mission Critical, Federal Government, Pharmaceutical and Secure Office Space projects. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, ability to manage and grow the Electrical Team and coordinate all aspects of project document completion.

• Lead electrical system design including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and low-voltage systems
• Develop construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Perform load calculations, short-circuit analysis, arc flash studies, and coordination studies
• Oversee system layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and designers
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, civil, structural, controls)
• Review and stamp drawings (if licensed PE)
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IBC, and Arizona state/local codes
• Interface with clients, contractors, and vendors during design and construction phases
• Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
• 8+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license a must (Arizona registration a plus)
• Strong knowledge of NEC and applicable codes
• Experience with ETAP, SKM, or similar power system analysis software
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
