Electrical Engineer/Operations Support Engineer – Drive Innovation in Aerospace Operations

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer/Operations Support Engineer to support a leading organization in the aerospace industry. This is a high-impact role where your technical expertise will directly influence operational efficiency, product reliability, and customer success.

As an Operations Support Engineer, you will perform research, development, diagnostics, and testing of electrical components, PC board layouts, electronics packaging, and related systems. You will be a key technical resource for troubleshooting, system improvements, and technician support, ensuring smooth operations within a fast-paced engineering environment.

This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives on problem‑solving, cross‑functional collaboration, and hands‑on technical work.

  Consultant (12 months)

• Location: Phoenix, AZ 85034

• Schedule: Monday–Friday;
  First Shift (7:00AM–4:00PM or 8:00AM–5:00PM)

• Pay Rate : $41.50 - $50.00 per hour

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies:
1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or
2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

• Perform research, development, design, and testing of electrical components and systems for commercial, industrial, and governmental applications.

• Support PC board layout activities and electronics packaging initiatives.

• Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting on electronics and related equipment.

• Troubleshoot test equipment and provide technical insights to improve performance.

• Coach and support technicians to ensure accurate, efficient workflow execution.

• Prepare clear and concise technical reports as needed.

• Manage customer requests, priorities, and communications in a timely, professional manner.

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues and enhance processes.

• Advanced degree in Engineering

• 5+ years of relevant experience in electronics research, development, diagnostics, and testing

• Strong understanding of electronics systems and components

• Experience troubleshooting both electronics and test equipment

• Ability to coach and support technical staff

• Strong communication and report‑writing skills

• Experience in aerospace or other high‑reliability industries

• Familiarity with electronics packaging best practices

• Hands‑on experience with PC board layout tools and methodologies

• Background in customer‑facing engineering support

$41.50 to $50.00 per hour
