About the RoleWe’re supporting a leading aerospace & defense technology organization seeking a Product Engineer to join a high-impact Microsystems / Microelectronics team. This role focuses on New Product Introduction (NPI), product sustainment, and full lifecycle ownership of advanced microelectronic assemblies used in secure, mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities- Lead product engineering activities for microelectronic assemblies including BGA, chiplets, interposers, PCBs, and advanced packaging
- Drive NPI launches from concept through production transition and sustainment
- Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and program teams
- Develop and manage technical documentation (test plans, manufacturing plans, qualification documents, specs, procedures)
- Support manufacturing setup
, process development, and product readiness - Apply systems thinking
, conduct trade studies, manage technical risk, and support project execution - Ensure compliance with military and aerospace standards (Mil-Spec)
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor or microelectronics product engineering
- Hands‑on experience with PLM systems (Oracle, Agile, or similar)
- Strong background in manufacturing/process development and NPI
- Experience with risk management, project coordination, and technical documentation
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Phoenix, AZ
- Estimated hourly range: $40–$44/hr (W-2)
- Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview outcomes
