Senior Advanced Engineer - Mechanical Design

Job Description

Laboratory Design and Facilities Team is a group of engineers and technicians within Engines & Power Systems’ Engineering Test Services (ETS) organization. ETS is responsible for planning and executing engine testing from IPDS Phase 2 through Phase 6 for the whole E&PS product portfolio. We are currently supporting new centerline designs as well as several derivative products, cost reduction projects, and SRD programs.

The Laboratory Design and Facilities team ensures these engine tests have the right test equipment and infrastructure available when they need it. We work with lab engineering teams, program (UUT) focal points, and capital stakeholders to ensure our equipment meets the customers’ requirements and supports successful tests.

A Senior Advanced Engineer in this role will leverage their advanced knowledge of engineering processes, disciplines, and tools to estimate, plan, and execute tasks and projects related to the development and certification of Honeywell engines.

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

• Five plus years of design experience, specifically with CAD, preferably NX or Catia
• Experience with Gas Turbine engines and Gas Turbine Engine Test Experience
• Experience with Assembly and Tooling Drawings Standards
• Experience with Laboratory and Industrial Equipment
• Experience with Facilities Design (AutoCAD Mechanical/Electrical)
• Familiarity with Export Compliance and Classification
• Ability to work independently
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• An open, honest and team oriented personality
• Eagerness to get involved in hands‑on work
• Creativity
• Some experience developing products or sustaining existing products
• Experience in a highly regulated and safety critical domain
