Client: Major Construction & Facilities Organization (Hensel Phelps)
Location: Phoenix, Arizona (Onsite)
Salary: $100,000 – $160,000 + benefits
Core Talent Finder is working with a large, well-established construction and facilities organization delivering complex commercial and infrastructure projects across the United States. They are expanding their team and hiring a Commissioning Associate to support building systems, commissioning activities, and operational readiness on major projects.
About the RoleThe Commissioning Associate provides engineering and technical support across the full project lifecycle
, ensuring systems are installed, tested, and operating correctly while maintaining safety, quality, and budget objectives.
This role works closely with project teams, contractors, and facility stakeholders to coordinate commissioning processes, documentation, and performance testing.
Key Responsibilities- Support commissioning activities including inspections, testing, and documentation
- Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to verify constructability and functionality
- Coordinate with MEPF trade partners during inspection and testing processes
- Track equipment inspections, testing results, and issue resolution
- Assist in developing commissioning schedules and test procedures
- Perform field observations to verify construction progress
- Support operational readiness and system performance testing
- Maintain documentation and commissioning records using project software
- Assist in preparing manuals, reports, and project closeout materials
- Bachelors degree or equivalent technical experience
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in commissioning, construction, facilities, or building systems
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to read drawings, specifications, and technical documents
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project coordination tools
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
