The mechanical engineer will report to project management team and construction manager. He/She will be responsible for coordinating mechanical systems installation, manager subcontractors, tracking schedule and completion status and costs. He/she will be responsible for ensuring that all work meets applicable project and/or code specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
General Responsibilities- Support planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical construction activities
- Assist with development and tracking of project schedules, budgets, and procurement activities
- Review drawings, specifications, and submittals for constructability and compliance
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and other project teams to resolve field issues
- Track RFIs, change orders, and field modifications related to mechanical scope
- Perform field inspections to verify installation quality and adherence to design documents
- Support commissioning, testing, and turnover of mechanical systems
- Coordinate with superintendents and QAQC teams for all required testing and inspection
Prepare project status reports
Qualification Education & Related Experience- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in mechanical construction or related field
- Proven experience on site MEP construction activities
- Strong communication skills of trade coordination, construction sequencing and onsite coordination
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with safety protocols and OSHA/EHS regulations
- Experience working with TSMC or in semiconductor facility projects
Experience with commissioning and startup activities
Skills Must Have- Excellent communication and coordination skills with multiple stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft office, AutoCAD, or BIM tools
- Strong problem-solving skills on site
Basic understanding of water treatment (UPW, WWT) systems
