Overview
Applies technical experience and expertise to build/assemble test fixtures, troubleshoot electronics equipment including test fixtures and PCBAs, document and report processes, perform design verification and validation from test plans, and provide support during the design process. This person will support the embedded design and embedded operations solutions team to enable continued growth of increasingly complex electromechanical locks.
Responsibilities- Build/assemble test fixtures based off schematic diagrams and documentation. This includes electrical wiring, physical mounting of modules/components, creation of engineering support wiring harnesses, and similar tasks.
- Demonstrate proficiency in electronics including reading schematics. Experience with opening designs in Altium is preferred.
- Support electrical production lines, troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis of electrical components/assemblies.
- Perform design verification and validation tests from a provided test plan. The ability to document success/failure is essential to effective completion. Ability to use standard test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, etc.).
- Demonstrate proficiency in mechanical fixturing to support test functions on electromechanical products. Requires the ability to troubleshoot and test mechanical actuation solutions as part of test.
- Ability to solder at advanced level including leadless packages. Rework of prototypes/designs is a core function.
- Strong computer skills. Various test tools, including command line tools, are regularly updated including internally created tools. The ability to install and use such tools will be an essential function to support testing of prototypes and some production lines.

QualificationsThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.
Education and/or Experience- Associate or bachelor’s degree in related technology preferred with 5+ years of related experience and/or training required.
- Familiarity with production line test automation preferred.
- Proficiency using EDA tools to read schematics for PCBA troubleshooting/repair
- Proficiency in MS Office
- LabVIEW or python development experience is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong experience in electronic instrumentation and testing tools.
- Strong experience in defining validation and test planning documents.
- Assist the organization with establishing practices that align with ISO requirements.
