Field Service Engineer – Phoenix, AZ

This position is part of the Electrification & Automation (EA) Business Unit and is based in Phoenix, AZ. The role is field-based and involves travel and on-site installations.
What you’ll do- Work with power distribution system equipment – low and medium voltage (up to 38 kV).
- Install, test, commission, and start up LV and MV equipment; may include troubleshooting, maintenance, training, and consulting.
- Travel up to 80% (national) depending on site locations; flexibility on travel and location is required.
- Support Greenfield and Brownfield unit installations and commissioning activities within Siemens USA.
- Collaborate in a hands-on field environment with potential eligibility for different levels based on experience.
Basic Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED minimum.
- 4+ years of directly related equipment experience.
- Knowledge and/or experience with power distribution systems and low/medium voltage switch gear.
- Experience with breakers or high voltage equipment testing, including analyzing test results and equipment condition assessment.
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical control circuits.
- Ability to respond to emergency and relief assignments.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety practices and ability to work within safety guidelines.
- Based remotely within the Phoenix, Arizona area to support EA’s business partners.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing; may require participation in Siemens vehicle plan.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- 3–5 years of field service experience.
- Experience with protection and control relays and high voltage circuit breakers.
- Experience with project management software.
- Knowledge of SF6 gas circuit breakers.
- MSHA 46/48, OSHA 30, NFPA 70E; TWIC card; NETA/NICET.

$74,970 – $128,520; 5% incentive potential
