- Understand and monitor the SRP Distribution System to support safe, reliable electric system operations.
- Perform duties related to electrical theory and power distribution systems, including design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the SRP Distribution System.
- Follow safety procedures required to work on the SRP Distribution System.
- Utilize keyboarding and verbal/written communication of highly technical material.
- Use software programs in the Distribution Operation Center (DOC).
- Analyze and diagnose problems in real-time situations, and perform moderately complex math calculations (including algebra and some trigonometry).
- Work independently, organize work, and make decisions with limited supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned and maintain safe, efficient work practices and effective working relationships with colleagues, customers, and the public.

Experience:
Apprentices and Pre-Apprentices will complete the above tasks and duties under the direct supervision of a journey worker.
- Certifications or Testing
Required:
Critical system tests and SOPDII aptitude test administered on site during pre-employment. - Educational prerequisites as required by the Distribution System Operator (DSO) Apprenticeship Committee.
Hybrid Workplace: SRP offers a hybrid work arrangement for roles that can be performed remotely. If teleworking is available, employees must live and work in Arizona and have sufficient technical capability to perform their duties.
