Job Title:

Field Representative - HVAC Control Systems Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Field Representative to join our dynamic team. You will serve as a front-line technical and repair support representative, collaborating closely with the Operations Team to meet customer needs efficiently. This role involves troubleshooting, installing, and commissioning HVAC control systems, ensuring quality and timely project execution while fostering a culture of growth and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide courteous and professional front-line technical and repair support.

  • Collaborate with the Operations Team to meet customer needs promptly.

  • Respond to customer requests in a timely manner.

  • Troubleshoot, install, and commission HVAC control systems, including mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage components.

  • Independently execute project fieldwork, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.

  • Mentor other technicians in project execution.

  • Review mechanical plans and control submittals to identify potential issues.

  • Modify and troubleshoot control programming as needed.

  • Conduct customer training sessions for completed projects.

  • Participate in company training and pursue self-directed learning.

  • Document changes for as-built records and ensure accurate project billing.

  • Follow all safety standards and complete required safety training.

  • Keep management informed of job progress and potential issues.

  • Manage processes and procedures, including email, Teams, Trello, project folders, labor logs, and expense submissions.

Essential Skills

  • Expertise in HVAC control and building automation systems.

  • Proficiency in building automation software, Siemens control, and related technologies.

  • Experience with installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and programming building automation control systems.

  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, control devices, electronics, and mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

  • Experience with DDC/direct digital controls, airflow, hydronic systems, IT networking, analytics, and building controls technologies.

  • Ability to perform point-to-point testing verification and sequence of operation verification.

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in sequence of operation verification and point-to-point testing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Maintain a satisfactory driving record to drive a company vehicle.

  • Ability to use Windows applications, primarily Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Work Environment

This role may require working in extremely hot or cold weather conditions. Expect noisy or potentially hazardous conditions necessitating PPE. The position involves significant daily local travel to customer sites, with occasional overnight travel required for distant sites and training at various manufacturers. Overnight travel generally lasts 2 to 5 days.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $93000.00 - $115000.00/hr.
