Position: Senior Specialist, EHS (Fixed term contract - 6 Months)

As a Senior EHS Engineer at our Phoenix, Arizona product development center, you will report to the Site EHS/Sustainability Leader and join an accomplished team comprised of scientists, engineers, and professionals at the forefront of technological innovation. You will become part of a global organization dedicated to excellence at every level, with a strong commitment to achieving leadership in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Product Safety, and Corporate Sustainability.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience in Environmental Health & Safety within manufacturing and/or equipment design environments.
  • On‑site position based at the ASM location currently in Phoenix with a future location in Scottsdale.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and relevant local environmental and safety regulations or standards applicable to manufacturing and R&D settings.
  • Preferred experience in environmental and occupational health and safety within high‑tech industries or semiconductor fabrication facilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of industrial hygiene methods and standards relevant to the semiconductor industry.
  • Experience working in fast‑paced, dynamic organizations.
  • Strong influencing skills without direct authority.
  • Advanced analytical abilities coupled with proven problem‑solving skills.
  • Demonstrated independent critical thinking and a proactive approach to learning and guidance.
  • Adaptability to evolving environments and strategies.
  • Professional certifications preferred, such as Associate or Certified Safety Professional, or Certified Industrial Hygienist.
  • Ability to work in cleanroom environments around semiconductor equipment, including process modules, hazardous gas/chemical systems, and supporting infrastructure; must be capable of conducting audits and inspections in physically demanding cleanroom settings.
