Responsible for systems engineering activities related to requirements, design, and verification of the Next Generation Avionics connectivity solution—the Integrated Network Server Unit (INSU). This role involves delivering content for initial product certification and contributing to the ongoing development of requirements for future connected applications.
Responsibilities- Lead requirements development for the Anthem Integrated Network Server Unit (INSU) Connectivity System.
- Oversee development and testing of all connectivity features and capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance in designing, developing, and implementing new Anthem features/capabilities (e.g., SXM, Bluetooth, Fore Flight) on new hardware platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, systems, cybersecurity) to deliver integrated connected solutions.
- Manage lab infrastructure to support integration activities.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace safety and security standards (DO-178C, DO-326A/356A).
- Conduct rigorous testing for performance, security, and reliability to meet certification requirements.
- Maintain technical documentation and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of the systems development lifecycle (ARP‑4754 familiarity preferred).
- Experience in requirements authoring and decomposition for hardware and software.
- Proficiency in systems/software requirements validation, integration, and verification.
- Background in integrated avionics systems.
- Experience with Wi‑Fi and cellular connectivity.
- Understanding of cybersecurity concepts and protections.
- Familiarity with aerospace safety/security standards and certification processes.
- Strong problem‑solving and leadership skills in subsystem integration.
- Candidate must be a US Person, defined as a US citizen, US permanent resident, or have protected status in the US under asylum, refugee status, or the ability to obtain an export authorization.
