Field Safety Advisor – Summit Line Construction
Join us as a Field Safety Advisor to support projects throughout AZ and NM
. You will assist the division with planning and implementation of safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations, including OSHA and DOT. The Safety & Training Advisor is responsible for reinforcing safety culture within the organization.

LocationPrimarily based in Phoenix, AZ or Albuquerque, NM, with travel throughout Arizona and New Mexico.
What You’ll Do- Training and Development:
- Assist in identifying training needs and gaps, and propose training/education plans to fill gaps.
- Offer specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills.
- Provide training to field personnel through tailboards and briefings.
- Evaluate HSE education and training programs.
- Assist in developing training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials.
- Support Company HSE training to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Safety Inspections and Compliance:
- Inspect or evaluate workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance.
- Inspect equipment and machinery for unsafe conditions.
- Audit job sites to ensure proper HSE procedures.
- Prepare written reports of findings and recommendations.
- Complete near miss/good catch reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting.
- Follow up on corrective actions.
- Communication and Relationship Management:
- Maintain clear communication with employees, supervisory personnel, state and local officials, consultants, and sub‑contractors.
- Provide support on sensitive/critical projects.
- Support and Development of HSE Programs:
- Support Corporate HSE Initiatives.
- Assist in developing and enhancing HSE programs.
- Support post‑incident investigations.
- Perform analysis and trending of HSE statistics and metrics.
- Regulatory Understanding:
- General understanding of environmental rules and regulations.
- High school graduate and/or GED equivalent.
- 2+ years of related experience (ideally within power line construction).
- OSHA 30 certification and/or related safety certification preferred.
- Understanding of Federal and State safety regulations and training requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web‑based tracking software.
- Must complete pre‑employment drug screen and criminal background check.
