TSMC Arizona is looking for a Water Section Construction Engineer to join our F21 FAB project located in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. The role involves participating in the design and contracting of the new Fab Water systems that run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year without factory interruption. Design engineers work closely with manufacturing, facility teams, suppliers, and vendors daily to understand systems reliability and quality concerns and work to resolve issues.
Responsibilities- Participate in the construction, supervision, and management of new fab water systems
- Cross‑organizational communication, coordination, and problem‑solving
- Responsible for the construction schedule and quality control of the new fab G&C system
- Water system commissioning
- Develop and cultivate local construction contractors
- Graduated from university with a Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Major in construction management engineering, environmental engineering, or chemical engineering is preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in semiconductor industry operating water system and construction supervision with consulting companies is preferred
- Strong ability to handle pressure
- Outgoing personality with excellent social skills
- Possess leadership qualities and good communication skills
- May spend extended hours working inside and outside in all weather conditions, and in awkward body positions which can cause physical discomfort and strain
- Required to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and to adjust heavy objects
- The position will come in contact with sharp, hot, and cold equipment and parts
- Must be medically qualified to wear a personal respirator
- Sensory demands include exposure to the smells associated with industrial chemical operations, and exposure to the sounds associated with powered tools and industrial equipment
- Must have the ability to safely climb ladders and work at elevation from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, roofs, or platforms, and the ability to work in confined spaces
