- Transportation, you will be responsible for a variety of projects, taking ownership from start to finish.
Department: Transportation
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Core Responsibilities- Manage and lead Horrocks design teams to deliver transportation projects.
- Identify, pursue, and win new transportation engineering opportunities within the public and private sectors.
- Develop and track scope, budget, and schedules for transportation projects to successfully deliver projects.
- Solicit and manage subconsultant engineering services.
- Interface with public and private sector clients including state and municipal agencies.
- Coordinate and conduct meetings with project stakeholders.
- Coordinate with office management and other project managers to share resources.
- Manage Quality Control/Quality Assurance activities per Horrocks’ Quality Program.
- Cultivate client relationships and pursue business development opportunities.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineering license in AZ.
- 15+ years of Project Management & Business Development Experience.
- Preferred 10+ years of DOT experience.
- Demonstrated experience delivering transportation projects for DOTs, municipalities, counties, or regional agencies.
- Willingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices.
- Possess a proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets.
- Solid written and oral communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with MS Office application.
- Experience with project accounting practices and systems.
- Knowledge and experience with Open Roads Designer, InRoads and/or Geopak, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other applicable software common to the field of transportation engineering.
- Experience in managing technical staff and project teams.
- Ability to manage several projects concurrently.
