We are deploying infrastructure for 5G networks. A telecommunications startup focused on efficient and strategic support to the nationwide 5G deployment, helping OEMs and operators achieve enhanced connectivity for their networks.
The field integration technician will be responsible for new and existing technology integrations to the network – LTE and 5G – per site requirements, coordinating with construction crews to complete the job scope. Installation may also be required alongside commissioning and integration tasks.
Responsibilities- Install, configure, and later integrate new LTE equipment from Nokia (and de‑commission and remove old equipment).
- Work as part of a growing team, coordinate tasks with integration engineers, and perform related tasks.
- Leverage 1–2+ years of experience at telecommunications sites (BTS/radio installation, fiber, telco, light electrical, etc.) and experience with Nokia LTE & 5G equipment.
- Use Nokia BTS manager.
- Preferred experience with T‑Mobile equipment.
- Experience with NSN Multi‑Flexi System & Airscale modules and radios.
- Commission and integrate UMTS, GSM, LTE, and technologies.
- Install circuit breakers, GPS kits, LAN connections, and CPRI fibers.
- Understand IP and cable routing.
- Mount/unmount cabinets, racks, and hardware.
- Use a fiber scope.
- Install, commission, and later integrate ABIO, ABIL, ASIL, and ABIP components.
- Troubleshoot integrated components on‑site for alarms and faulty management groups.
- Apply project management theory to radio access networks, backhaul to sites, signaling, disaster recovery planning and response, data services, and location‑based services.
- Maintain excellent computer skills.
- Contact us if you have a PTID and have removed or installed Nokia LTE & 5G equipment, especially involving commissioning.
- Have your own vehicle, basic set of tools for wireless sites, laptop, cell phone, and the ability to work outside.
- Associate’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or related field preferred; high school diploma and equivalent experience considered.
- NOKIA certifications.
- Professional representation of the company.
- Work within maintenance‑window hours (midnight to 6 am) or scheduled daytime hours as required by project scope.
- Travel within a region, market, or outside market on a project basis.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather year‑round.
- Use technical skills independently and as part of a team to execute responsibilities and solve problems.
- Lift 50 lbs and climb a 12‑ft ladder.
- Computer and MS Office proficiency.
- Valid driver’s license.
