OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will engage in the designing, developing, and implementing of cutting‑edge electrical systems for state‑of‑the‑art industrial and high‑tech manufacturing facilities serving global leaders in technology. The ideal candidate possesses experience with distribution panel loading, short‑circuit analysis, voltage drop calculations, conduit and conductor sizing, and cable tray fills.
Responsibilities- Generate comprehensive technical project plans, specifications, drawings, and models aligned with industry standards and client requirements.
- Determine conduit and conductor sizing, meticulously accounting for current loads and environmental variables.
- Assess cable tray fills methodically to guarantee proper cable management, organization, and future scalability.
- Perform detailed short‑circuit calculations to accurately determine fault currents, select appropriate protective devices, and ensure system safety.
- Perform precise voltage drop calculations to ensure electrical system stability and compliance with industry standards.
- Ensure all electrical designs rigorously comply with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.
- Apply established design techniques and exercise discernment in adapting and modifying design concepts as needed, upholding quality control by adhering to company CAD standards.
- Collaborate with Senior Engineers, Project Managers, and stakeholders on specific objectives, complex features, and derive possible solutions to unusual problems.
- Foster collaboration, communication, strategy, and support within multidisciplinary teams to optimize efficiency, quality, and resource allocation.
- Conduct field verifications and site walks to identify, validate, resolve, and integrate solutions into design packages, resolving design issues on‑site during construction if necessary.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution (qualifying candidate for professional engineering licensure in Arizona).
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT) exam, with a focus on electrical engineering principles (highly desired).
- Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design drafting (required). Experience with Revit, ETAP, SKM Power Tools, and/or Easy Power is a plus.
- Knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., National Electric Code, NFPA).
- Ability to clearly communicate technical information and design concepts to project managers, contractors, and cross‑disciplinary teams.
- Salary Range: $68,000 – $98,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and certifications directly related to the position.
