Sr Mechanical Engineer PE (Group Manager) - HybridSeeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This leader will work with Principals and Directors, managing multiple projects, leading teams, and meeting with clients and contractors. Strong technical skills in HVAC systems design are required, including participation in the design of mechanical building systems and preparation of detailed calculations and drawings from schematics to construction administration across various building types.
Preferred experience includes Government/Federal Projects, Civic/Public Works, Healthcare, and Higher-Education.

- 8 to 10+ years of experience with an MEP or Engineering Consulting firm designing HVAC building systems on complex projects
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET Accredited College or University
- PE License Required
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
- Proven Project experience in Government/Federal Projects, Civic/Public Sector, Healthcare, Higher-Ed, etc.
- Develop HVAC designs from concept through completion of construction.
- Coordinate HVAC design requirements with architecture, structure, and other disciplines.
- Prepare engineering design calculations and mechanical system layouts, and detailed engineering reports and narratives.
- Experience with direct client contact and fostering those relationships. Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies.
- Support business development initiatives by assisting the RFP process and interview process.
- Actively engage in community and/or industry-specific organizations.
- Security Clearance
- Experience and interest in Sustainable Building Design
- LEED AP or LEED GA with previous experience participating in the LEED or other green rating system process.
- An appreciation and understanding of architectural design and how architects work and think.
