Job Description
As a Systems Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will contribute to the design and implementation of complex systems that drive innovation and efficiency in the aerospace industry. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that our systems meet the highest standards of quality and performance, ultimately enhancing the safety and reliability of air travel. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and will work out of our Phoenix, Arizona location on a hybrid schedule.
The Honeywell Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) reduces the risk of controlled flight into terrain by providing flight crews with timely, accurate terrain and obstacle data. As part of the Multi-Platform EGPWS enhancement program, you will support long‑term development and breakthrough innovations across aerospace, UAM/UAS, and Next‑Gen markets.

- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).
- Minimum of 2 years of aerospace systems engineering experience.
- Strong technical knowledge in systems integration and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in systems modeling tools and relevant programming languages.
- Aircraft Systems knowledge or piloting background.
- Experience with Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) or TAWS.
- Aviation safety knowledge.
- Knowledge of FAA regulations and industry standards.
- Familiarity with ARP‑4754, DO‑178, DO‑254, DO‑160.
- Agile development process experience.
- Knowledge of TSO, STC, and aircraft type certification.
- Commitment to aviation safety.
- Understanding of the systems development lifecycle.
- Strong analytical problem‑solving skills.
