Equipment Engineer

Overview

Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Equipment Engineer to join a growing team supporting the Advanced Manufacturing Industry. The equipment engineer is responsible for analyzing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to track breakdown frequency, uptime, and production performance, while reporting on micro-stops, breakdown maintenance, and yield to develop improvement plans. They design and review production work orders based on PLCs, implement and test new equipment and technology, and collaborate with other departments to enhance process quality.

Will include Equipment Start Up / Commissioning. Documentation, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives are also key parts of the role.

Analyze OEE to track breakdown frequency, uptime, and production performance. Report on micro-stops, breakdown maintenance, and yield to develop improvement plans. Design and review production work orders based on PLCs. Implement and test new equipment and technology. Collaborate with other departments to enhance process quality. Include Equipment Start Up / Commissioning, documentation, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering Field
• 7+ Years of experience in equipment engineering in an automated production environment
• Experience creating and developing Equipment Maintenance Plans
• Strong ability to troubleshoot PLCs

• Vision Inspection Systems
