Senior IT Project Engineer, Manufacturing

Established semiconductor manufacturing facility in the Phoenix, AZ vicinity is seeking an experienced Senior IT Communications Engineer to lead the building of a new 2M+ sq. ft. manufacturing facility site.

Note:

Experience in design, construction, and maintenance in a manufacturing facility is preferred.

• Develop documents such as PM job plans, operating procedures, troubleshooting specifications, and training programs, collaborating with communication technicians and service providers.
• Provide design support for the facility team in the communication field for projects, including new construction, and theoretical technical support for the security field of the support department and the communication field of the IT team.
• Develop and review communication infrastructure layout plans, including planning, specifications, and cost estimates, safety planning, and coordination with owners, sub‑consultants, and clients.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) impacting production due to communication system failures.
• Support a series of emergency broadcast tests during fire inspections and drills related to the operation of the public address system.

Education and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience as a communication engineer, IT systems engineer, or network engineer in design deliverables for capital projects in a manufacturing environment, preferably in semiconductors.
• Prior knowledge of industrial and/or commercial processing equipment, semiconductors, or telecommunications utility operations is preferred.
• Working knowledge in a commercial setting, including vendor management and implementation of systems into a manufacturing environment.
