At SEEDs for Autism our mission is to empower and educate youth and adults impacted by autism so they can reach their greatest potential. SEEDs for Autism was established in 2010 and was founded to provide individualized mentorship in education, functional living and vocational development. SEEDs staff provide comprehensive programming to strengthen concentration, teach responsibilities, increase understanding of job ethics and build self-esteem for youth, starting at age 14, and adults diagnosed with autism.

Monday through Friday with flexibility

9:00 AM to 1:30/2:00 PM

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour

SEEDs for Autism is seeking a dedicated and passionate Job Coach to join our team. This is a part-time position. This role is essential in guiding individuals towards personal and professional growth, particularly those facing challenges related to autism and developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in workforce development and social work, with a commitment to empowering others through education and mentorship.

• Provide individualized coaching to clients, focusing on personal development and skill enhancement.
• Develop and implement training programs tailored to the unique needs of clients, ensuring accessibility for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
• Educate clients on employment labor laws and workforce development opportunities.
• Mentor clients through various challenges.
• Conduct interviews to assess client needs and progress, adapting coaching strategies accordingly.
• C ollaborate with community resources and organizations to support client goals.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress reports for evaluation purposes.
• Write daily and monthly reports/data collecting.

• Strong understanding of workforce development principles.
• Knowledge of employment labor law, as it pertains to individuals with disabilities.
• Experience working with people on the autism spectrum or with developmental disabilities.
• Excellent educational skills with the ability to convey complex information simply.
• Proficient in mentoring techniques that foster growth and resilience in clients.
• Ability to develop training materials that are engaging and effective.
• Be a team player and be adaptable to necessary changes for individualized participant success.

• Has a Master’s Degree in a related field (e.g. Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Education, etc.) and documentation of one (1) year of full-time employment working with individuals with disabilities; or
• Has a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (e.g. Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Education, etc.) and documentation of two (2) years of full-time employment working with individuals with disabilities; or
• Has a high school diploma or G.E.D. and documentation of five (5) years of full-time employment working with individuals with disabilities.
• A criminal history check and Fingerprint Clearance Card is required (we will give you instructions).
