Special Education Teacher – Phoenix, AZ – $50/hour

The Special Education Teacher provides quality instructional services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12. This role supports students with diverse learning needs through specially designed instruction, collaboration with educational teams, and implementation of individualized education programs within the school setting.

• Provide special education instruction aligned with students’ individualized education programs
• Develop, implement, and monitor instructional plans and accommodations
• Support students with cognitive, adaptive, functional academic, and life skills needs
• Collaborate with general education staff and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in IEP meetings and documentation as required
• Support classroom management and student progress through evidence-based practices

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state and contract regulations
• Minimum one (1) year teaching experience preferred
• State Teacher Certification (Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education) preferred
• Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement preferred
• Compliance with all professional standards of practice
• CPR certification (if applicable)
• TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
• Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
