Job Summary

This position begins in August 2026. The faculty member will develop and teach Business courses in both classroom and online formats. Primary instructional responsibilities include General Business and other Business courses as assigned. The role requires proficiency with current business-related application software and experience using Learning Management Systems on a PC platform.

Essential Functions
  • Supervise and instruct students in a classroom or computer lab setting using a variety of presentation techniques emphasizing technology.
  • Develop course syllabi, outlines and other course materials for a variety of course preparations.
  • Evaluate knowledge of subject matter including grading and monitoring of students’ scholastic records.
  • Develop and enhance knowledge of subject matter taught by attending conferences, workshops and training sessions.
  • Maintain office hours to assist and advise students.
  • Participate in department, campus and district committee work and activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Business | Occupational
  • Five years of occupational experience in the field to be taught OR
  • Three years of occupational experience in the field to be taught and a Bachelor’s degree or higher OR
  • A Master’s degree or higher in the teaching field OR
  • A Master’s degree or higher in any field with 18 graduate credits in the teaching field OR
  • A Master’s degree or higher in any field with a combination of 24 upper division and/or graduate credits in the teaching field

Desired Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business
  • Teaching experience at the community college level within the last five years.
  • Experience working with students from a range of backgrounds at the community college level.
  • Experience with current application software using a PC platform.
  • Experience developing and/or teaching online, hybrid/in person courses. Provide a list of courses with details of what was developed and taught.
  • One (1) year of full-time, relevant MCCCD experience within the previous two (2) years.
Special Working Conditions
  • MCCCD does not sponsor individuals for any type of work visa.
  • Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D driver’s license is required; must meet minimum standards regarding driving:
    Phoenix College Motor Vehicle Driving Requirements.
  • Will be required to travel or be assigned to all MCCCD locations, as well as offsite locations when partnership classes are required.
  • May require numerous evenings and weekends.
  • May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen.
  • May be required to lift or carry up to 25 lbs.
