Job OverviewWe are hiring for the school year. Scottsdale Christian Academy (SCA) is a Christ-Centered covenant Christian school in metropolitan Phoenix, Arizona. First founded in 1968, SCA has maintained its core mission of maximizing the God-given potential of each student, preparing them to live lives of distinction, by impacting the world for Jesus Christ. SCA conducts pre-employment and drug screening for all positions which includes a criminal background check, verification of work history, academic credentials, licenses, and certifications. A Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card is also required.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Events and Alumni Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing school wide events (unrelated to Admissions) and supporting alumni engagement in alignment with SCA’s mission and values. This includes overseeing key events such as the Annual Gala and Auction, Grandparents Day, the New Family Tailgate, Homecoming, and various other advancement, alumni, and community-related events throughout the school year. This role also includes maintaining alumni relationships, increasing alumni engagement, and managing the alumni database.
This person shall be spiritually mature and shall reflect the purpose of the school, which is always to honor Christ.
- Display a profound passion for and commitment to the mission and values of SCA, ensuring all interactions and events reflect SCA’s Christian mission, values and goals.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute major annual events, including the Annual Gala and Auction, Grandparents Day, New Family Tailgate, Homecoming, Hoop coming, and other advancement, alumni, and community-building events.
- Represent the school positively at all events and serve as a warm and welcoming presence to new families, alumni, donors, and guests.
- Develop event timelines, budgets, volunteer needs, vendor relationships, and communication plans.
- Work closely with marketing and graphic design team members.
- Collaborate with the Advancement team, Principals, Directors, and other staff to support cross-functional initiatives and events.
