Virtual Learning Assistant, Unbound Academy

At Unbound Academy, a tuition-free virtual charter school, students progress rapidly through core academics using AI-driven platforms, then transition into live, facilitated workshops that emphasize interpersonal skills, teamwork, and personal growth. Your role centers on ensuring these interactive sessions are seamless and meaningful for every participant.

You will serve as the organizational backbone of the student experience. You'll coordinate group transitions, facilitate small breakout activities, maintain engagement levels, and provide one-on-one support when students need redirection or encouragement. Content delivery is not your responsibility—but your presence is essential to making the model effective.

• Facilitating live virtual workshops by coordinating breakout rooms, managing session pacing, and ensuring smooth group transitions
• Fostering student participation using chat features, verbal recognition, gentle prompts, and individualized outreach
• Maintaining student engagement, building confidence, and strengthening peer connection throughout the day
• Providing operational support to lead educators by handling session logistics and technical coordination
• Serving as a reliable, approachable figure within student clubs and life‑skills programming

Facilitate dynamic, virtual learning environments by keeping students engaged, organized, and motivated across all workshop activities.

• Available to begin employment on August 1, 2026
• Minimum of 3 years of experience mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or guiding youth populations
• Educational experience within U.S., Canadian, or U.K. school systems (K–16); schooling must have occurred in one of these countries
• Excellent communication abilities and confidence navigating digital tools and platforms
• Enthusiastic, student‑centered demeanor with meticulous attention to pacing and seamless transitions
• Available to work full‑time, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm U.S. Mountain Time (UTC‑7)
• Open to working in a hybrid capacity in Arizona.

This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $20 USD/hour, which equates to $40,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
