Special Education Teacher – Pre‑K / Cross‑Categorical (2026–2027 School Year)

Position Overview

Behavior Rx is hiring certified Pre‑K and Cross‑Categorical Special Education Teachers for the 2026–2027 school year across Arizona.

These are full‑time, school‑year positions with educators employed directly as W‑2 employees of Behavior Rx, not 1099 contractors.

We partner with districts serving early childhood and cross‑categorical populations, prioritizing structured support, collaborative IEP teams, and developmentally appropriate instruction. Early hiring allows educators to secure their placement before peak recruiting season begins.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for Pre‑K or cross‑categorical students
  • Deliver developmentally appropriate, evidence‑based instruction
  • Implement accommodations and behavior supports aligned with student needs
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and related service providers
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with federal and state special education regulations
Qualifications
  • Valid Arizona Special Education Certification (Early Childhood or Cross‑Categorical preferred)
  • Experience serving Pre‑K, developmental delay, or cross‑categorical populations
  • Strong IEP development and case management skills
  • Knowledge of early childhood instructional strategies and behavior supports
  • Commitment to student growth and inclusive practices
  • $67,000–$74,000 annualized equivalent (based on 10‑month school‑year schedule)
