Job Title:
Havocs Leader (NFWS)
Position Summary/
Purpose:
The GCU Havocs Leader’s primary role is to create the game day environment for students at GCU Division One sporting events. A Havocs Leader will gain real-world experience in Collegiate Athletics through social media, marketing, and in-game entertainment.
Responsibilities
* Provide support for all NCAA sports on campus
* Strive to create the best game day environment at each sporting event they attend
* Host events such as Camp Elliott and Tailgates
* Use social media and other marketing tools to raise awareness of NCAA games on campus
* Must act as an ambassador to the University and GCU Athletics
* Will have the opportunity to work with GCU Executives and Athletics staff members
Equipment Used:
* Cell Phone
* Computer* Social Media
Qualifications:
* Completed at least a full semester as a GCU Student
* Effective communication skills
* Available to work nights and weekends
* Possess crowd management skills
* Social media and marketing experience preferred
* Prior student section leading preferred
Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.
• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
