Job QualificationsThe appropriate certified candidate must possess Arizona Special Education certification, Cross Categorical or Mild Moderate. SEI endorsement preferred.
Licensing/Certification RequirementsValid IVP Level One AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.

Future Requirement for K-5Literacy Endorsement (unless you hold a Reading K-8, Reading K-12 or Reading Specialist K-12 endorsement)
Timeline- Teachers who were certified on or before 8/1/2025 have until 8/1/2028 to obtain the literacy endorsement.
- Teachers who certify after 8/1/2025 will have 3 years from certificate issuance to obtain the literacy endorsement.
- Teachers who graduate from AZ colleges in 2025 should have completed the coursework and should have the certificate on their licenses.
