Position: SSW Assistant Teaching Professor PP4908, PP4909

The School of Social Work (SSW) in the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions at Arizona State University invites applications for two full-time, benefits-eligible, non-tenure-track Assistant Teaching Professor positions, with 9 month appointments beginning August 16, 2026. This is a teaching-focused role whose primary responsibilities include excellence in instruction, course and curriculum development, student mentorship, service to the School and community, and active engagement in School activities and governance.

A successful candidate will be able to teach a substantial course load within our BSW and MSW programs across modalities, mentor students and adjunct instructors, contribute to program assessment and accreditation-related activities, and participate actively in School life through committee service, program events, and other collaborative initiatives. Teaching will occur in person at ASU’s Phoenix-area campuses and online, both asynchronously and synchronously via Zoom.

ASU’s School of Social Work is one of the largest and most comprehensive social work programs in the country, serving more than 2,700 students across multiple locations, including downtown Phoenix, West Phoenix, Tucson, and Yuma, as well as through synchronous and asynchronous online programs. The School’s educational programs include in-person, online asynchronous and online synchronous BSW and MSW programs, with MSW concentrations in Advanced Generalist, Advanced Direct Practice, and Policy, Administration and Community Practice.
