ACA aims to empower Phoenix with knowledge, spirit and service. In 1999, we embarked on a dream of creating a private school with a rich Islamic ethos. We have achieved over 20 years of operation, COGNIA accreditation, annual enrollment of 300+ students, and construction of a multi-acre purpose-built facility. We are seeking the best Islamic educator talent to lead Arizona Cultural Academy to become a modern Daycare through grade 12 private Islamic school.
ACA is seeking a qualified School Librarian. Hiring a quality Librarian is a critical effort as we build an institution that establishes the next generation of a modern private Islamic school. We are looking for a diverse pool of applicants who are inspired by our mission and possess the skills, knowledge, and work ethic to contribute to a dedicated team willing to do whatever it takes to build an institution that empowers ACA and the Phoenix metro area with knowledge, spirit and service.

Additionally, an ACA Librarian is expected to fulfill the following duties:
Library Program & Instruction
- Develop and implement a comprehensive library/media program aligned with the school curriculum
- Teach students information literacy, research skills, digital citizenship, and ethical use of information
- Support classroom instruction through collaboration with teachers on projects and lessons
Collection Development & Management
- Select, acquire, catalog, and maintain print and digital library resources
- Evaluate materials to ensure they are age-appropriate, diverse, and aligned with educational goals
- Manage circulation, inventory, and organization of library materials
Student Engagement & Literacy
- Promote reading, literacy, and lifelong learning through programs, displays, and activities
- Assist students in selecting appropriate materials for academic and personal interests
- Create a welcoming and inclusive library environment
- Provide access to and support for digital tools, databases, and educational technology
- Guide students and staff in the effective use of library technologies and online resources
- Stay current with emerging technologies and library best practices
- Maintain library records, reports, and budgets
- Supervise library assistants, volunteers, or student aides as assigned
- Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and staff to support school goals
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Education, or a related field
- Teaching certification and/or library/media certification as required by the state or district
- Knowledge of library management systems and educational technologies
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to lift 10 pounds
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds
- The ability to move safely around campus
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
- The ability to sit/stand most of the day
- Ability to use desktop computers and office equipment such as phone, iPad, desktop
Salary range: (commensurate with experience)
