Our 2-Hour Learning framework combines AI-adaptive platforms with skilled instruction to accelerate reading progress. Your role: create and facilitate brief, focused reading workshops that produce quantifiable improvements in phonics, fluency, and comprehension for early elementary learners, then support us in scaling this model to campuses nationwide.
This role doesn’t involve lesson-plan bureaucracy. You’ll engage in data-informed teaching, technology partnerships, and constructing a reading program that serves thousands of students effectively.

What You Will Be Doing- Facilitating brief, focused reading workshops that strengthen phonics, comprehension, and fluency capabilities
- Creating individualized motivational experiences through gamified literacy benchmarks
- Examining student performance data to optimize instruction and identify actionable patterns
- Partnering with engineers to assess and improve AI literacy platforms using classroom outcomes
- Building scalable, AI-integrated content that empowers early elementary students to reach grade-level reading proficiency
- Conducting 90-minute lessons or adhering to conventional curriculum—students master academic content through AI-adaptive applications
Reading Coach key responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree
- Master’s degree in reading instruction OR advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, LETRS, CERI, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing small-group reading interventions to K–2 students
- Capable of assessing reading levels, organizing student groups, and creating differentiated instruction independent of pre-packaged curricula
- Competent with AI/adaptive learning platforms and responsive to student interaction patterns within them
- Authorized to work legally in the U.S. without sponsorship requirements
- Available to work on-site at one of our locations:
Phoenix, AZ;
Austin, TX;
Fort Worth, TX;
Plano, TX;
Tampa, FL; or Dorado, Puerto Rico

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
