- Salary: $1,215.50
- Assesses student athletes to provide feedback on individual performance and team placement.
- Attends meetings, workshops, and conferences to receive and convey information related to the role.
- Communicates with parents, students, officials, administrators, and community to provide information, assistance, and direction.
- Instructs student athletes to promote growth in athletic skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Maintains records (game/student statistics, insurance, signed permission forms, emergency information, schedules, equipment inventories) to comply with district, athletic conference, and state requirements.
- Manages uniforms, equipment, and school facilities responsibly.
- Monitors student athletes’ academic eligibility to comply with AIA requirements and provide intervention as needed.
- Supervises student athletes during all participation to reduce injury risk.
- Teaches sports techniques, rules, strategies, and tactics to prepare the team and individuals for competition.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient functioning of the work unit.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities- Adapting to changing work priorities; administering first aid; applying laws, codes, policies, and regulations.
- Organizing and communicating information and concepts.
- Basic math and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of equipment, injury prevention, and treatment protocols; participant eligibility guidelines; public relations protocols; safety practices.
- Ability to schedule activities, gather data, and operate equipment.
- Problem‑solving ability.
- Work under limited supervision following standardized practices.
- Direct others within a small work unit; utilize resources from other units as needed.
The role involves occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and fine finger dexterity. Physical demands include 20% sitting, 40% walking, and 40% standing. Work may occur under extreme temperatures and exposure to risk.
ExperienceJob‑related experience required.
Required Testing, Certificates and LicensesCriminal Background Clearance. Valid Arizona DPS Level I IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (link: https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).).
