Salary Range: $52,792 – $91,769

Summary

A dedicated Special Education Teacher for students with emotional disabilities (ED) is sought for the upcoming school year. This role is crucial in developing and implementing an adaptive curriculum that meets the individual needs of students, ensuring their academic and socio-emotional development within a supportive learning environment.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education or a relevant field.
  • Valid Arizona Elementary Teaching Certificate or equivalent certification.
  • Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • SEI Endorsement preferred.
Core Job Functions
  • Create and maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
  • Develop lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to the diverse needs of students, in line with curriculum standards.
  • Communicate learning objectives clearly, utilizing a variety of instructional strategies to engage students effectively.
  • Conduct both small and large group instruction using current, research-based best practices.
  • Leverage technology to facilitate and enhance the learning experience.
  • Assess student progress regularly, maintaining thorough records and communicating developments to guardians.
  • Participate in collaborative efforts to review academic progress and implement appropriate interventions for low-performing or at-risk students.
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) effectively, adjusting strategies to meet student needs.
  • Ensure the safety of students and assume responsibility for the learning environment.
