- Technical Theatre Assistant
** Purpose within the Organization:
** The purpose of this position is to assist CAM with the Ethington Theater.
** Responsibilities Related to

Purpose:

** Student will aid the technical director and master electrician in execution of designs for Ethington Theatre’s main stage productions which includes but is not limited to:
* Set construction
* Welding* Light focus/hang
* Operating shop tools and machinery including but not limited to woodworking tools, steel cutting and grinding tools, and electrical equipment
** Equipment used and responsibility:
*** Computer* Copier
* Hand tools and Power tools
* Table saw and chop saws – virtually any and all construction tools
* Ladders and personnel lifts and climbing equipment
* Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders and work at height
*
* Qualifications:

** Student should have a working knowledge of basic construction, lighting, and tool usage. Familiarity with theatre methodology is highly recommended.
