Position: Student Services Specialist Short-Term (Dual Enrollment)
Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC) is seeking a short-term Student Services Specialist who serves as the central point of contact for students enrolled in Dual Enrollment and Early College Programs, providing integrated enrollment services including admissions, academic advisement, financial aid, fiscal services, testing, and community education referrals. As the primary liaison between PVCC and participating high schools, students, and their families, the Student Services Specialist ensures high-touch, contact-centered support to facilitate student success.

Key responsibilities include:

* Coordinating services and support for dual enrollment students and families.

* Advising on college processes and resources.

* Tracking and monitoring academic progress from high school graduation, through the community college transfer to university.

* Delivering consistent, customer-focused service across phone, online, and in-person channels.

The position engages with a broad range of stakeholders-students, families, administrators, staff, and faculty-helping to drive student retention, completion, and academic advancement within a learning-centered institutional framework. To best serve the students, department, and college, this position requires a physical presence on campus.

Essential Functions

30% Coordinates the planning and execution of the Dual Enrollment program at PVCC including recruiting students and partners to engage in dual enrollment classes and programs;
Schedules classroom presentations in person/virtually to facilitate registration for dual enrollment and explain the program to all coordinating high schools' staff and administrators; coordinates the implementation of college and District dual enrollment policies and procedures.

30% Establishes dual enrollment courses at participating high schools by collecting all registration paperwork/payments, providing required testing, delivering materials to students, notifying students of registration requirements, eligibility, and deadlines;
Verifies course rosters and grades for accuracy and deadlines;
Facilitates the use of District grant funds to pay for tuition and fees for high school students that meet the requirements to qualify for financial assistance.

30% Represents the Dual Enrollment program and participates in meetings;
Assists in student activities and participates in program events;
Helps in tracking student data;
Generates correspondence and reports and maintains program materials including the website.

10% Assists the Program Manager with specialized tasks and fulfills additional responsibilities as assigned.
