Position: Math Tutor (Small Group Instruction)

Are you ready to make a real difference in your community while gaining valuable professional experience? Join Blueprint Schools Network as an Ameri Corps Member – Math Fellow and help expand educational equity for students through high‑dosage math tutoring.

As an Ameri Corps Member serving with Blueprint, you’ll be part of a national movement to ensure every student has access to the opportunities they deserve. This is more than a job—it’s a service opportunity to change lives, including your own.

    Support 4–8 students at a time through small‑group math instruction—helping them build confidence, skills, and a love of learning.

  • Service Term
    :
    This is a reduced‑term Ameri Corps service opportunity (¾ or ½ slot) depending on your start date.
Service Schedule
  • Full‑time school‑day schedule
    :
    Monday–Thursday, approximately 8 am to 4:00 pm. Friday – 8:00 am to 12:00 noon. Final schedule depends on school placement.
  • Start Date
    :
    Upon completion of onboarding and training.
  • End Date
    : 5/21/2026.
Benefits of Ameri Corps Service
  • Bi‑Weekly Living allowance
    :
    The living stipend will be based on the hourly rate of $18/hour. Final amount depends on school campus schedule and number of student days served during the term ending 5/21/2026.
  • Segal Ameri Corps Education Award
    : $5,176.50
    * upon successful completion of your term of service.
  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP):
    May qualify for food assistance.
  • Student Loan Forbearance
    :
    May request temporary pause or reduction of loan payments through the holding institution.
  • Professional development & career growth
    :
    One‑on‑one coaching, up to 72 hours of ongoing training, and exploration of pathways into education and leadership roles.

    :
    Medical, dental, and vision benefits (for eligible full‑time Members; 100% individual premium paid by Blueprint).

    Ongoing mentorship, community building with peers, and 1:1 coaching from Blueprint staff.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide small‑group math instruction during the school day.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with students.
  • Use provided lesson materials and progress‑monitoring tools.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school leaders, and your Site Manager.
  • Engage in professional learning and reflective practice.

Eligibility Requirements
  • Age 18+ and authorized to serve in the U.S. (US Citizen, US National, or Lawful Permanent Resident).
  • Enrollment in a degree program, prior enrollment, or completion of at least an associate’s degree.
  • English proficiency (Spanish language skills a plus).
  • Commitment to serve the full Ameri Corps term.
  • Successful completion of all required background screenings.
