General Responsibilities: The teacher is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and challenging learning environment. They will design, plan, and deliver instruction using various methods suitable for all learners, assess student progress, maintain records, communicate with parents, collaborate with colleagues and the community, connect academic knowledge to real-life situations, and participate in professional development activities.
Qualifications:
- Possess an Arizona Secondary Teaching Certificate.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree.
- Be aware of diverse student needs, including at-risk, ethnic, limited English proficient, and exceptional students.
- Have or be willing to obtain Essential Element of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) training.
Additional Information: The position is within the Phoenix Union High School District No. 210, with a 9-month work year and a salary schedule for teachers. The teacher reports to the principal or educational unit supervisor and does not supervise other staff.
