Position:
Full‑time pediatric hematologist/oncologist (board‑eligible or board‑certified) with an interest in benign hematology, immune deficiencies and white blood cell disorders, or bone marrow failure syndromes.
The division has 29 faculty, 3 fellows and 19 advanced practice providers. We seek someone who can contribute to clinical care, teaching, and clinical research, and who will be an interactive member of the Division of Hematology/Oncology/BMT in the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, participating in inpatient and outpatient management of hematology patients.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical care to hematology patients, including inpatient and outpatient management.
- Teach in training programs within the division.
- Participate in clinical research and potentially engage in programmatic development.
- Board eligible or board certified in pediatric hematology-oncology.
- Strong interest in hematology and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams on patient‑focused, division‑centric, and hospital‑wide initiatives.
- Experience or interest in research and programmatic development is desirable.
Our Center is the major referral center in the Southwestern region, seeing approximately 1,500 new hematology patients per year. The patient population includes about 550 congenital bleeding disorder patients at the federally funded Hemophilia Treatment Center, over 325 sickle cell/thalassemia patients, and around 150 new thrombosis patients annually. We run multidisciplinary clinics for hemophilia and other congenital bleeding disorders, immunohematology, and sickle cell/thalassemia, and we maintain active clinical and laboratory research programs and multiple open clinical trials.
