Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neurosurgeon to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and surgically treating complex disorders of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and cerebrovascular system. As part of our multidisciplinary medical team, you will be expected to provide world-class patient care, collaborate with specialists across various departments, and contribute to the advancement of neurosurgical treatments within our practice.

Primary Duties:

1. Consult with patients, perform examinations, and analyze patient medical history to formulate a diagnosis and create an individualized treatment plan.

2. Perform surgical procedures on the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves to treat illnesses such as brain tumors, neurovascular disorders, spinal disc herniations, spinal cord injuries, and congenital malformations.

3. Work closely with other healthcare professionals such as anesthesiologists, neurologists and nurses to ensure optimal patient care during surgery and postoperative recovery.

4. Regularly update medical knowledge and surgical skills through continuing education and professional development activities.

5. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining complex neurological concepts and procedures in a manner that can be easily understood.

6. Adhere to all relevant medical regulations and ensure that all procedures are performed in a manner that respects patient rights and confidentiality.

7. Participate in hospital or clinic meetings and engage with peers to share best practices, discuss tough cases, and collaborate on research projects.

8. Maintain detailed records of all patient interactions, treatments, and surgical interventions.

9. Conduct research to contribute to the advancement in treatment and surgical procedures in the field of neurosurgery.

Other Requirements:

  • Board Certified
  • Residency/Fellowship Trained in Spine Surgery
  • AZ State MD/DO License (Or able to obtain)
