Position Summary

The Division of Allergy and Immunology at Phoenix Children’s is seeking an Allergist/Immunologist to join a team of 11 providers (7 physicians and 4 advanced practice providers). The role focuses on immunology, inborn errors, and immunity, with opportunities for both inpatient and outpatient care across the main campus and satellite clinics in the East, Southwest, and Northwest Valleys. The physician will collaborate with Mayo Clinic Arizona for a combined Fellowship, participate in grand rounds and case conferences, and support academic faculty appointments at Mayo Clinic, the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Phoenix, and Creighton University School of Medicine.

Position

Duties
  • Patient Care Services
    • Provide direct patient care on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
    • Offer subspecialty consultations and follow‑up, including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
    • Respond to urgent/emergent needs.
    • Deliver patient‑ and family‑centered care in line with Phoenix Children’s patient satisfaction goals.
    • Adhere to divisional patient safety and quality standards and practice evidence‑based medicine.
  • Divisional Responsibilities
    • Achieve annual physician goals and objectives.
    • Support medical education programs—supervise trainees, conduct teaching rounds, lectures, and conferences.
    • Participate in postgraduate continuing education and research initiatives.
    • Contribute to the growth of the division and support satellite efforts.
  • Professionalism
    • Treat colleagues, staff, and patients with courtesy and respect.
    • Promote a safe, cooperative, and professional health‑care environment.

  • Other Activities
    • Serve as liaison to the professional community and general public as requested by the Division Chief.
    • Conduct teaching rounds or conferences outside Phoenix Children’s to support divisional programs.

    • Communicate by telephone, computer, or other devices; perform after‑hours or night calls; work regular scheduled hours.
  • Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as requested.
