Physician – East Phoenix, MBI Industrial Medicine
OverviewMBI Industrial Medicine operates outpatient clinics specializing in acute injury care within an occupational medicine setting. Our fully integrated EMR system allows providers to deliver high‑quality patient care with minimal administrative burden. With 31 locations across Arizona, Colorado, California, and Nevada, we offer significant career growth opportunities for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities- Provide healthcare services to patients in clinic and via telemedicine following established clinical practice principles.
- Cover all East Phoenix area clinics as needed, with location varying by business needs.
- Offer oversight of any Advanced Practice Provider at the physician’s clinic site, including recommendations on clinical management when the Center Medical Director is unavailable.
- Perform complete history and physical exams to determine capacity for specified job functions and to provide medical opinions regarding job accommodations.
- Participate in workers’ compensation legal processes, including hearings and depositions.
- Conduct fit‑for‑duty and return‑to‑work evaluations.
- Evaluate and manage occupational injuries (musculoskeletal, head, chest, extremity, eye, skin, respiratory, fractures) with appropriate diagnostics, treatment, and referrals.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including OSHA recordability considerations and prescribing, ordering radiographs, and referring for specialty care.
- MD/DO
- Unrestricted Arizona Medical Licensure with no active stipulations
- Active full DEA license
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- FMCSA certification for DOT exams within 90 days of hire
- Board certification in occupational medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine, PMR, orthopedics preferred but not required
- MRO certification preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of occupational medicine laws, worker’s compensation, and clinical procedures
- Strong medical office administration skills and ability to instruct, teach, and correct colleagues
- Preferred ability to perform treadmill stress tests
