The Multifamily Architect is responsible for the design, documentation, and coordination of multifamily residential projects including apartments, mixed-use developments, and high-density housing. This role requires strong proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Revit to develop accurate construction documents, coordinate with consultants, and support project delivery from concept through construction administration.
The ideal candidate will have experience in multifamily housing design
, strong technical documentation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers, engineers, and project teams.
- Participate in the design and planning of multifamily residential projects including apartments, mixed-use developments, and residential communities
- Develop architectural concepts and translate them into detailed construction documents
- Ensure designs meet zoning, building codes, and regulatory requirements
- Assist in preparing presentations and design packages for client review
- Prepare detailed construction documents for multifamily developments
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with industry standards
- Support permit submissions and respond to jurisdictional comments
- Maintain project documentation and revisions
- Develop and maintain Revit-based BIM models throughout project lifecycle
- Produce accurate construction drawings including plans, elevations, sections, and details
- Coordinate BIM models with structural, MEP, and civil consultants
- Manage model integrity, standards, and documentation workflows
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows
- Experience with AutoCAD, Sketch Up, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction documentation
- Familiarity with BIM coordination tools such as Navisworks (preferred)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
- 5+ years of architectural experience
, preferably in multifamily residential projects - Experience working in an architectural firm or development environment
- Licensed Architect (or pursuing licensure)
- Experience with large-scale multifamily or mixed-use developments
- Knowledge of sustainable design or LEED standards
