CAD Draft Detailer

• Create detailed CAD drawings for commercial metal roofing and façade systems, including standing seam, concealed fastener, and insulated panels.
• Develop layout plans, panel schedules, flashing details, and attachment methods based on architectural and structural drawings.
• Produce shop, installation, and fabrication drawings from design concepts, ensuring accuracy and constructability.
• Translate field measurements, engineering notes, and customer input into precise drawing sets.
• Collaborate with project managers, estimators, engineers, and installers to ensure drawings meet project requirements and code standards.
• Revise drawings based on redlines, RFIs, and customer feedback.
• Maintain drawing standards and document control throughout all project phases.
• Assist with material take-offs and coordinate with vendors or fabricators as needed.

• Associate’s degree or certificate in Drafting, Architectural Technology, Construction Technology, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of drafting experience in commercial roofing or architectural sheet metal systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (required); experience with 3D software such as Revit, Tekla, or Solid Works is a plus.
• Familiarity with commercial roofing systems, building envelope components, and flashing details.
• Ability to interpret and apply architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Strong knowledge of roof slopes, penetrations, drainage design, and thermal expansion practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
• Knowledge of construction codes and industry standards (IBC, ASTM, SMACNA, NRCA).
• Experience with CNC-ready fabrication drawings is preferred.
• Understanding of submittal and approval processes in commercial construction is a plus.
• Familiarity with Navisworks or other BIM coordination tools is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
