Provides support to dental staff to increase efficiency and ability to provide patient care

• Assist with dental procedures and documentation
• Perform dental x‑rays
• Knowledge and practice of infection control techniques
• Ability to work with minimal direction
• Performs any other duties assigned by Clinical Dental Director
• Participate in and serve as a model for SVdP's Culture of Philanthropy, and ensure SVdP volunteers feel welcomed and appreciated
• Volunteer engagement and appreciation, as well as Culture of Philanthropy participation are part of all job descriptions at SVdP, and a very important part of the organization culture and values

• Training as a Dental Assistant
• Able to work with volunteers and students to support the mission of St. Vincent de Paul
• Bilingual (English and Spanish is required)
• Experience using the operating system Dentrix is preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working as a chairside assistant preferred

• Able to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach and lift up to 30 pounds is required for this position
