Pay Rate: $18 per hour on W2
Position
Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Licensing & Payments Customer Service Representative to support a high-volume, public-facing licensing and payments operation in Phoenix, AZ. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in an in-person service environment, enjoy helping customers navigate regulatory processes, and have experience handling payments and transactions accurately.
The representative will serve as a key point of contact for individuals seeking assistance with licensing and tax-related services, ensuring a positive customer experience while maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
This position is 100% onsite and requires candidates to already be local to Phoenix, AZ.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist customers in person with licensing-related questions and requests
* Receive, process, and accurately apply payments across multiple tax types (cash, checks, money orders)
* Perform daily reconciliation, cash handling, and end-of-day till balancing
* Process new license applications, renewals, and updates with accuracy and attention to detail
* Provide clear guidance on licensing laws, rules, and procedures
* Enter and maintain accurate data within internal systems
* Deliver professional, courteous, and efficient customer service in a high-volume environment
Required Skills /
Education:
* High School Diploma or GED required
* 2+ years of customer service experience (retail, government, financial services, or similar)
* Hands-on data entry experience with strong attention to accuracy
* Cashiering or payment processing experience (minimum several months)
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work full-time onsite, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
